A letter of application

Warsaw September 17, 2004 Mr Michael Cartwright World Aid, Palmers House Ludford. Dear Mr Cartwright, I was interested in your advertisement in today's edition of "The Guardian" and I would apply for the position of looking after small children in your camp in Chittatong in Bangladesh. I am 17 years old and I study in a secondary school in Warsaw. I want to work with you because I love children. The opportunity of learning about Bangladesh's culture is very encouraging, because intercultural understanding is extremely important. I am a careful and reliable person. My patience and manual skills are very useful in working with children. I don't have any big experience in looking after children excluding working with my neighbours' son. I am also working for the voluntary program in my school. In addition, I hold a certificate in first aid, which might be very useful. If you want to have the right person in the right place, please contact me. I would be pleased to discuss my curriculum vitae with you in more detail. I am available for an interview any day of the week. Yours faithfully, Zuza
